The “Rivista Aeronautica” was first published in 1925, and it has not missed an issue since then. The management and the editing staff report directly to the 5th division of the Italian air force’s general staff headquarters Quinto Reparto dello Stato Maggiore dell’Aeronautica while “Rivista Aeronautica” itself is still the benchmark aeronautical magazine for professionals and lovers of this very special world. The articles carried in the magazine are very often picked up on and discussed by both the Italian and foreign press, which fully recognize the magazine’s authority on the various subjects. For many years “Rivista Aeronautica” refused to carry advertising; the very few pages of advertising it did carry were about events the Italian military forces had organized in collaboration with private entities. As of January 2010, “Rivista Aeronautica” will be accepting advertising and opening its doors to its 22,000 copy circulation and 3,500 subscribers. The magazine is undoubtedly an exclusive showcase for readers, who pay great attention to detail and all the new things that happen around the air force and the Italian air display team, the “Frecce Tricolori”.
